Phoebe Nicol is an emerging Australian designer who has established her eponymous design studio in Sydney, focusing on high-end residential and boutique commercial areas. Her design style has a refined European classical heritage, and her works are often good at combining sophisticated modern craftsmanship with traditional details.

Kings Road

新旧结合

为了向空间内现有的装饰艺术品表示致敬，Phoebe Nicol在这间位于国王大道上的住宅中精心设计了一系列相连的体块，使居住其中的人既能感到舒适，又能隔绝外界的干扰。通过柔和的中性色调将新旧结合在一起，以此凸显国王路起源于20世纪20年代的历史特色。

Paying homage to the existing decorative art in the space, Phoebe Nicol designed a series of connected volumes in this house on the King's Road to provide comfort and isolation for its occupants. Combining old and new through soft neutral tones, the King's Road highlights the historical character that originated in the 1920s.

Phoebe Nicol以住宅框架和装饰艺术为切入，采用更具现代感的方法，在视觉上延伸空间，并于室内外之间建立积极地联系。而新与旧的衔接体现在住宅的细节设计和所使用的材料上，如一些黄铜类的材料，它会随着时间的流逝而褪色，却以一种难能预料的美好方式记录着住宅的年龄。

Phoebe Nicol takes a more contemporary approach to house framing and art Deco, extending the space visually and creating a positive connection between interior and exterior. The connection between the old and the new is reflected in the detailed design of the house and the materials used, such as some brass-like materials, which will fade with the passage of time, but in a beautiful way to record the age of the house in an unpredictable way.

Vaucluse的设计凝聚了建筑师与室内设计师的充分耐心和爱心。他们对这座加州住宅进行全新的升级，其目的是为年轻的家庭创造一处精致、宜居和放松的隐居之所。客户热爱烹饪，所以厨房的规划和设计成为了该项目的核心，为了满足他们需要，同时赠设了储藏室及茶水间等补充空间。

Vaucluse's design embodies the patience and love of the architect and interior designer. Their new upgrade of this California home was designed to create a sophisticated, livable and relaxing retreat for a young family. The client loves to cook, so the planning and design of the kitchen became the core of the project, and in order to meet their needs, additional Spaces such as storage and pantry were provided.

客户希望浴室有合理的细节考虑和必要配件来适合家庭的日常使用。之后，设计师选用了抛光镍的金属配件，由于镍会与周围环境产生化学反应，其老化后铜锈肌理，形成一种古典主义的外观，同时与空间的整体氛围有着巧妙地呼应。

The client expects the bathroom to have reasonable detail consideration and the necessary accessories to fit the daily use of the home. After that, the designer chose polished nickel metal fittings, due to the chemical reaction of nickel with the surrounding environment, its aging copper texture, forming a classical appearance, and at the same time, the overall atmosphere of the space has a clever echo.
